Pakistan Foreign Minister: Military Speaks for Pakistan

Pakistan's Minister of Foreign Affairs spoke to reporters in Afghanistan on the position of his country between terrorism and traditional adversarial relationship to India. As reported in the Washington Post "Pakistan's political and military leadership is one," he said. "When the military leadership speaks, you can take it for granted they are speaking for the civilian leaders, and when the political leadership speaks, the military is behind it." He was responding to a direct question as to whether the government was in charge. I hope my government's not at one with the military!
