The circus mounted by New York Governor Paterson regarding the replacement senator for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is beginning to make some Empire Staters pine for their old governor, Elliot Spitzer. Apparently, after requesting hefty tomes of personal information from 15 different candidates, Governor Paterson admitted he hadn't read any of them! Would a Presidential pardon for Spitzer, who wasn't even charged with anything, allow New Yorkers to bring him back? No? Aw, darn!
