Timothy Geithner, Obama nominee for Treasury Secretary omitted several thousand dollars from his taxes which were later discovered by an IRS audit. It seems he neglected to remit about $34,000 in the same class which applied to years not covered in the audit. He was also identified as employing an illegal house keeper whose visa had expired but who later obtained agreen card. His confirmation was adjourned till Friday.
